Bruins announce first Class of '21 Signing

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Alba Petit (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning next fall.

Petit is the daughter of Jordi Petit and Clara Rosas. She is currently playing at Juveninl Prefernte, the highest category for her age group in Spain. Petit attends Taller Ginebro High School.

Her club career with Sant Gabriel has produced a lot of success on the field by winning the Catalan Youth Preferential League (2016) and Petit guiding them to a runners-up finish of The Catalonia, losing the final to FC Barcelona (2017).

Coach White on Alba Petit:

"Alba will be an exciting addition to the squad who will make an immediate impact. She will come in and raise our level even more with her technical ability and tactical understanding. With all our seniors returning, we had to make sure we brought someone in the mix who is going to complement our style of play and a player we think that could gel quickly with the other Bruins on and off the field."

Bellevue is 9-2-0 overall on the season and have won five-straight games, conceding just twice on the year. The Bruins host Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday, Mar. 6 at 5:30 p.m. from Papillion Landing.
