Curtis signs LOI to play for Bruins

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Jenna Curtis (Plattsmouth, Neb.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Tony and Pam, Curtis comes to Bellevue after playing her club soccer at Bellevue Soccer Club under the current Bellevue men's head coach Mark Heath-Preston. Heath-Preston said of Curtis, "Jenna is a lovely human being who is very coachable and will work hard on a daily basis. It's great the I will still be able to see her around campus and play for the Bruins."

Curtis plays for BU men's assistant coach Scott Robertson at Conestoga High School where she serves as the team captain. Last season, she contributed four goals and three assists from a defensive position.

Coach White on Curtis:

"We are excited Jenna has signed. It is great to continue our relationships with local clubs and high schools when it comes to Nebraska talent. It shows a lot about her character being a captain for both her club and high school team."

Curtis joins earlier signees Emma Stock (Bellevue, Neb./Papillion-La Vista South HS), Sinai Bernal (Bennington, Neb./Elkhorn HS), Jaycee Billings (Papillion, Neb./Gross Catholic HS), Britney Nolte (Springfield, Neb./Platteview HS), and Millie Hopkisson (Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England/Johnson County CC) in the Bruins' 2020 recruiting class.

Bellevue finished the 2019 season at 6-6-3 and qualified for the A.I.I. Tournament in Lawrenceville, Ga.
