Millard North defender McIlnay signs on with BU

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Morgan McIlnay (Omaha, Neb.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Cory and Brenda, McIlnay comes to Bellevue University after playing her club soccer at Elite Girls Academy where she won two state titles, doing so at the U15 and U16 levels. Additionally, she competed in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Tournament in both 2017 and 2018, winning a National Title in 2017 at the U15 level.

In 2018, McIlnay won another state title with Millard North High School under the guidance of James Abueg. An outstanding student, McIlnay sports a 3.50 GPA and is a member fo the Millard North Honor Roll.

"We are very excited that Morgan is joining our program. She is very competitive and a winner who will push us to the next level. Her soccer resume speaks for itself and we cannot wait to see how Morgan gels with the other Bruins."

McIlnay joins earlier signees Emma Stock (Bellevue, Neb./Papillion-La Vista South HS), Sinai Bernal (Bennington, Neb./Elkhorn HS), Jaycee Billings (Papillion, Neb./Gross Catholic HS), Britney Nolte (Springfield, Neb./Platteview HS), Millie Hopkisson (Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England/Johnson County CC), and Jenna Curtis (Plattsmouth, Neb./Conestoga HS) in the Bruins' 2020 recruiting class.

Bellevue finished the 2019 season at 6-6-3 and qualified for the A.I.I. Tournament in Lawrenceville, Ga.
