Bernal signs LOI with Bruins

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White announced today the signing of Sinai Bernal (Bennington, Neb.) to a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning next fall.

The daughter of Manuel and Milly, Bernal is currently a senior at Elkhorn High School where she helped lead her team to a state championship in 2018 and a quarterfinal finish this past spring.

Bernal played the majority of her club career for FSC Moxie under BU assistant Amy Tilley. She was named one of the All-State team during State Cup 2018.

Coach White on Bernal:

"It is great to bring in a local player with such great talent, character, and work ethic such as Sinai. I am excited to see her growth to come in her college years ahead."

Bernal joins earlier signee Emma Stock (Bellevue, Neb./Papillion-La Vista South HS) in the Bruins 2020 recruiting class.

The Bruins are currently 5-6-2 on the season and play their final regular-season game on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Papillion Landing against Waldorf University. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
