OMAHA, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team posted a 4-0 win against York College on Wednesday afternoon in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Tranquility Park.

Bellevue improved to 6-6-3 overall and 3-1-0 in the MCAC with the win while York dropped to 4-10-1 and 0-4-0 in league action.  

Michelle Dolder put the Bruins on the scoreboard with her fourth goal of the season 3:22 into the match. Stacey Hanson and Emily Hester were credited with the assists.

BU added to its lead in the 66th minute on a header by Jenica Bloom off a pass by Mercy Darkoah to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead.

Dolder netted her second goal of the contest at the 70:57 mark and Bloom notched her second goal of the match in the 87th minute to give the Bruins the 4-0 conference win.

The Bruins outshot the Panthers 27-5 and held a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.

Bloom led BU with seven shots and Darkoah added six to pace the offensive attack.

Sammy Sinecio improved to 3-1-0 in goal for the Bruins and stopped both Panther shots on goal. Katy Keefer (4-10-1) suffered the loss for YC and recorded 11 saves.

The Bruins will play their final nonconference match of the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Jamestown, N.D. for a 1:00 p.m. contest at Jamestown College (7-9-0).
