BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the sixth time this season and the eighth time in her Bruin career, junior Maria Pinedo has earned North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week honors for her performance last week at the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite.
Pinedo was the individual champion in the 59-player field at 4-over par. Pinedo's opening round was sparked by a pair of birdies and 11 pars. The second round was canceled due to weather. She led the Bruins to the team title in the 11-team event.
Pinedo currently leads the 2023-24 Bruins with six top-10 finishes and a 79.6 strokes-per-round average.
The Bruins are currently competing in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate at the Bent Tree Golf Course in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Iowa Western Community College is hosting the tournament.
