COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- The Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in second place after the opening round of play at the four-team Bent Tree Intercollegiate being hosted by Iowa Western Community College at the Bent Tree Golf Club. 

The Bruins are just one stroke out of the lead of the host school, IWCC. BU fired a team score of 61-over par, while the Reivers are at 60-over par. Iowa Central Community College is in third place at 83-over, and Nebraska Wesleyan rounds out the scoring at 133-over par. 

Megan Harty is tied for second place in the 22-player field at 10-over par (82). Maria Pinedo is in fourth place at 12-over par (84). Ilysia Ibnu is currently in sixth place at 18-over par (90).

Aaricia Noel-Traissac is tied for 10th place at 21-over par (93). Chloe Blandinieres rounded out the scoring for the Bruins, finishing the day at 24-over par. 

Iowa Western's Charlie Maxwell leads the field at 8-over.  

Tuesday's final round will begin at 9 a.m.
