BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the fourth time this season and the sixth time in her Bruin career, junior Maria Pinedo has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week for her performance at last week's Top of Texas Invitational in Lubbock, Texas.
Pinedo finished in fourth place in the 54-player field after posting rounds of 80, 80, and 78 for a 54-hole total of 22-over par (236) at the Top of Texas Invitational played at the par-72, 6,119-yard Lakeridge Country Club.
Her opening round was sparked by a birdie and nine pars. Her second round was highlighted by recording 11 pars. She had two birdies and ten pars in the third round.
Pinedo, who has four top-5 finishes in 2023-24, leads this year's squad with a stroke average of 80.1.
The Bruins are currently competing in the Battle at the Dance today and tomorrow (Mar. 19-20). The 36-hole tournament is being played at the Raindance National Golf Club in Windsor, Colo.
