Saifoloi named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete

SILVIS, Ill. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athletes from nearly 120 schools with close to 350 total student-athletes selected for their academic achievements.

Bellevue's Tylah Saifoloi (Penrith, New South Wales, Australia) was named to the prestigious team today. Saifoloi is a senior majoring in Health and Human Performance. It marks the third time in her career that she has earned the honor.

Grand View (Iowa) and Truett McConnell (Ga.) lead the field with eight honorees each, narrowly besting a group of four institutions that have seven representatives. Those schools are Briar Cliff (Iowa), Midway (Ky.), Pikeville (Ky.), and SCAD Savannah (Ga.).

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.

The Bruins won the 2023 North Star Athletic Association Tournament and will compete in the NAIA National Championship on May 23-26 at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
