Bellevue University head women's golf coach Shelly Liddick is pleased to announce the addition of Ilysia Ibnu (Taiping, Malaysia), who will join the Bruins and begin her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the Winter semester.
A native of Taiping, Malaysia, Ibnu won six tournaments as a Junior and three State Amateur Tournaments. She also has competed internationally maintaining a Top 10 finish in every tournament.
Coach Liddick "Ilysia comes into the Bruin Golf family with an extensive junior golf tournament resume. She has exceptional distance off the tee and is a strong competitor. Her international playing experience as a junior will immediately impact our Women's Golf Program."
Ilysia says she chose Bellevue University because of the team dynamics. "I was really inspired by the positivity of the team and I am excited to be working with the team. Since the beginning, Coach Liddick has guided me really well. Bellevue University is a suitable place for me to achieve all my goals as a player and student."
The Bruins will begin the spring portion of their schedule in mid-to-late February.
