Temple, Saifoloi finish in top 5 at Virginia McCoy Invitational

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In the final event of the fall season, senior Allison Temple and junior Tylah Saifoloi finished in the top five at the Virginia McCoy Invitational hosted by Park (Mo.) University. Tuesday's final round was played at the Deuce at the National Golf Club. 

Temple fired a 12-over par 83 on Tuesday and finished in a tie for second place in the 32-player field. She carded a 9-over 80 in Monday's opening round to finish the tournament at 21-over par. 

Bellevue did not register a team score with three individuals competing in the tournament. 

Park's Laetitia Solombrino captured the individual title at 8-over par with rounds of 76 and 74. 

Saifoloi moved up three spots into a tie for fourth place after shooting BU's top round of the day with a 9-over par 80. She registered a 36-hole total of 22-over par (84-80). 

BU's final golfer, freshman Megan Harty placed 20th with rounds of 98 and 82. 

The Bruins will be idle until the spring season which will begin in mid-to-late February.
