LE MARS, Iowa -- Junior Tylah Saifoloi and freshman Megan Harty registered BU's top two rounds on the day as the Bellevue University women's golf team competed in the 54-hole Northwest Iowa National Invitational being played at the par-72, 5,924-yard Willow Creek Golf Course.
Saifoloi had the Bruins' top round on the day, carding a 1-over par 73 with three birdies, four bogeys, and 11 pars. She finished the tournament at 15-over par which put her in a tie for 17th place in the 40-player field.
Harty's round was also sparked by three birdies as she finished with a 2-over par 74. Her three-round total of 13-over par helped her to a tie for 14th place in the final individual standings.
Senior Allison Temple finished the tournament at 14-over par after shooting a 7-over par 79 on Tuesday. She finished 16th in the final standings.
The Bruins had three individuals in the tournament and did not field a team score.
Texas Wesleyan ran away with the team title by 43 strokes, finishing the 54-hole tournament at 9-under par as a team.
TWU's Malisone Chanthapanya shot under par in all three rounds, winning individual medalist honors at 11-under par. Chanthapanya was 2-under in Tuesday's third round. Her teammates, Piper Frisbie and Brooke Sullivan tied for second at 2-over par.
Bellevue will be back in action on Oct. 8-9 when they travel to Norfolk, Neb. to compete in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Championship at the Norfolk Country Club.
