BU is the unanimous pick to win third-straight NSAA Women's Golf team title

Bellevue (Neb.) University is the league head coaches' unanimous pick to win the 2022 North Star Athletic Association women's golf team title. The conference preseason poll was announced Thursday afternoon.  The Bruins, who had won the last two North Star titles, collected all six first-place votes for 36 points.

The league head coaches can vote for their own team.

Viterbo (Wis.) was second with 28 points in the preseason poll.  Waldorf (Iowa) edged out Dickinson State (N.D.) by one point to finish third.  The Warriors tallied 21 points, while the Blue Hawks registered 20 points.  Valley City State (N.D.) was picked to finish fifth with 11 points, followed by Dakota State (S.D.) at sixth with 10 points.

The North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf Conference Tournament will be hosted by Waldorf (Iowa) in the spring on April 25-26, 2022.

The winner of the NSAA Women's Golf Conference Tournament will receive an automatic team bid to the national tournament.  The NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament is slated to take place at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, Okla. on May 24-27, 2022.

The Bruins begin the 2021-22 season on Sept. 17-18 when they travel to North Sioux City, S.D. to compete in the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic at the Two Rivers Golf Course. BU returns two letterwinners from last season including All-American senior Allison Temple and junior all-NSAA performer Tylah Saifoloi.
