Temple makes cut; Bruins finish 26th at Nationals

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla -- The Bellevue University women's golf team finished in 26th place and did not make the cut after the second round of action at the 2021 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship being played at the 6,102-yard, par-72 Rose Creek Golf Course. Senior Allison Temple, however, continued her strong play and will continue action in the 72-hole tournament. 

Temple combined her opening-round score of 74 with an even-par 72. She is 2-over for the tournament and is currently tied for seventh place. 

The Bruins improved their opening-round score by eight strokes, finishing the day with a 30-over par team total of 318 for a 36-hole sum of 644. 

Keiser leads the field at 6-over par with a two-round total of 582, 12 shots ahead of second place Taylor (594). Oklahoma City (597) is third with Dalton State (601) fourth while SCAD Savannah, Southeastern, and Embry-Riddle are locked in a three-way tie for fifth at 602.

Temple's even-par round consisted of three birdies, three bogeys, and 12 pars. 

Senior Dominika Gradecka had BU's second-best round on the day with a 2-over 74.. She finished the tournament at 11-over par and in a tie for 54th place. Her round was highlighted by four birdies. 

Shanice DeGee shot a 15-over 87 and finished the tournament at 24-over par in a tie for 139th place. DeGee birdied the final holes on both the front and the back nine. 

Tylah Saifoloi recorded a 13-over 85 in Wednesday's second round. She was 31-over for the tournament, finishing in 15rd place. She parred the final six holes on the front nine. 

William Carey's Nichakorn Prapsripoom sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 4-under score of 140. Four golfers - Serra Evrengil (Keiser), Taylor French (Taylor), Gurman Knight (William Jessup), and Gracie PArrott (Campbellsville) - sit two strokes back at 2-under (142).
