MADISON, S.D. -- Freshman Jirattiphon Phongthanachalitkun has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week for her performance in the Sydney Cox Invitational held earlier this week in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Phongthanachalitkun finished seventh overall in the 70-player field, firing rounds of 4-over 76 and 1-under 71, ending the tournament at 3-over par. In Tuesday's final round, she recorded four birdies and 11 pars. Her score of 71 was the lowest round for a Bruin this season.
Phongthanachalitkun helped guide BU to a third-place finish in the 13-team tournament, which featured five ranked teams from across the nation.
The Bruins will be idle until the spring season begins next March.
