MADISON, S.D. -- For the second-consecutive week, senior Madison Brooks has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week for her performance at the NCAA Division I Creighton University Classic. The Bruins were the only non-NCAA Division I team in the field.
Brooks helped the Bruins to a fourth-place finish as a team in the Creighton Classic (par-73, 5,952 yards). She shot an 80 (7-over-par) in the first round, followed by a second-round score of 81 (8-over-par). Brooks finished 11th individually, totaling 161 strokes (15-over-par) in the tournament. Brooks tallied 19 pars and two birdies in the two rounds.
The Bruins will finish up the fall season next Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 14-15, when they travel to Oklahoma City, Okla. to participate in the Sydney Cox Invitational.
