MADISON, S.D. -- Senior Madison Brooks was named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week after helping the Bruins to the title at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate Classic earlier this week in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Brooks won the 36-hole event, with a two-round total of 13-over par, posting rounds of 82 and 75. It marked the first title of her BU career and the first time she has garnered the weekly conference honor.
In Tuesday's second round, Brooks was very consistent with 13 pars, 4 bogeys, and one birdie.
Brooks helped the Bruins post their top team round of the season as BU finished Tuesday's second round at 13-over par with a team total of 301.
Bellevue will participate in the Creighton Classic on Oct. 7-8 at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha.
