MADISON, S.D. -- After winning individual medalist honors at the season-opening BU Fall Invitational, junior Allison Temple was honored by being named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week in an announcement made today by the conference office.
Temple won her second career title after posting rounds of 76 and 81 at Platteview Golf Club's 5,866-yard, par-72 course. She finished the tournament with 22 pars and a pair of birdies.
Temple helped guide the Bruins to a second-place finish in the BU Fall Invite, trailing tournament champion William Penn by 18 strokes.
It marked the second time in her career that Temple has earned the weekly conference honor.
The Bruins will compete next Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 16-17 at the Northwest Iowa Invitational in Le Mars, Iowa.
