SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Led by Allison Temple's 3-over 76, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in third place in the seven-team BU Spring Break Classic being played at the par-73, 5,890-yard Olmos Basin Golf Course.
Temple is currently tied for fourth in the 40-player field. She had three birdies on the day.
The Bruins' team score of 331 is 11 shots off the pace of first-place Lubbock Christian University, which shot a team score of 320 on the day. Houston-Victoria sits in second place at 329.
UHV's Leah Lerma leads the field after firing a 2-under 71 on Friday.
Kim Moore is tied for ninth place with an 8-over 81. Madison Brooks carded an 11-over 84 in Friday's first round, putting her in a tie for 15th place. Morgan Hazzard is tied for 30th with a score of 90 Autumn Fateley shot a 95 in the first round.
Saturday's second round will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start.
