MADISON, S.D. -- For the second time this season, sophomore Faustina Peve has earned North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week honors for her performance last week in the Golden Bear Classic in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
Peve earned all-tournament team honors, tying for fourth in the NCAA Division II-dominated Gold Bear Classic, hosted by Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.). The Bruins were the only NAIA squad in the 13-team tournament field, finishing fourth as a team. Peve shot 79 in the first round and improved her score to 78 in the second round. She finished fourth individually in the tournament out of 77 total golfers.
Peve and the Bruins will return to action when they travel to Dickinson, N.D. on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 25-26 to compete in the North Star Athletic Association Fall Tournament.
