KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2016 NAIA Women's Golf All-America teams, as selected by the NAIA-Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Committee.

The Bruins had three All-Americans with freshman Wendy Monfort earning second team honors and seniors Karissa Moreland and Maria Saavedra garnering third team accolades.

A total of 15 student-athletes were honored on each of the three All-America teams.

Monfort, who was named the Norh Star Athletic Association's Golfer of the Year, earned all-tournament team honors last week after finishing in a tie for 11th place at the NAIA National Championships in Savannah, Ga. Along with being named first team all-NSAA, she twice earned NSAA Golfer of the Week honors this season.

Saavedra earned her third All-America honor of her career after garnering first team honors in 2013 and second team recognition in 2014. She also earned first team all-NSAA honors this season and finished in 41st place at the NAIA National Championships.

Moreland earned her first All-America honor after finishing in 30th place at the NAIA National Championships. She is a three-time first team all-conference recipient and has twice been honored as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

For the fourth-straight year, Bellevue had multiple golfers named to an All-America team. The Bruins placed eighth last week at the 2016 NAIA National Championships held at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Savannah, Ga. It marked the Bruins' third-straight top-10 finish at Nationals.
