Bruins in 11th after two rounds at Chip-N-Club Classic

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team, paced by Maria Saavedra and Wendy Monfort is in 11th place after two rounds at the Chip-N-Club Classic being played at the Lincoln Country Club.

Saavedra and Monfort both have scores of 157 through two rounds. Saavedra shot 81 and 76 while Monfort carded scores of 78 and 79. Renee Santoyo is just a stroke behind with duo after shooting rounds of 77 and 81.

Natalia Soria is fourth among Bruins after a pair of 81s. Karissa Moreland shot 83 and 80 for a two-round total of 163 on the day.

Notre Dame leads in the team standings with a two-round score of 577, 16 strokes ahead of Nebraska. Bellevue, currently in 11th place overall, had a team score of 633.

Play concludes tomorrow morning with the third, and final, round.
