Moreland finishes second at CSM Spring Invitational

Results

OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Karissa Moreland fired a 5-over par 77 Friday to finish in second place at the College of St. Mary Spring Invitational being held at the Miracle Hills Golf Course. 

Moreland was one of three Bruins to compete in the tournament, which consisted of 48 individuals and seven teams. 

Bellevue did not compete as a team as a minimum of four individuals is required to earn a team score. 

Junior Izzy Hernandez placed fourth with an 8-over 80 and senior Jayme Harmelink finished in a tie for 12th after shooting a 15-over 87. 

Concordia's Amy Ahlers was the tournament medalist, winning by one stroke over Moreland with a 4-over 76. 

Peru State won the team title. 

The Bruins will travel to Maryville, Mo. to participate in the MCAC Championships on April 27-28 at the Mozingo Golf Club.
