MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team won the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Fall Classic at Mozingo Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Bruins won the tournament by eight strokes over host Northwest Missouri State University. BU shot a team score of 635 while the Bearcats finished in second place with a two-day total score of 643.
Renee Santoyo was the individual winner with a two-round total score of 152 while Maria Saavedra finished in a tie for second after a total of 157.
Karissa Moreland tied for fifth place overall with scores of 82 and 76 (158) while Natalia Soria fired a pair of rounds of 84 (168) to tie for 18th place. Christina VonRiesen tied for 34th with a two-round total of 179.
Competing as an individual, Jayme Harmelink carded an 184 (91-93).
The Bruins have won three team titles this fall.
The BU women's golf team will return to action on Oct. 11-12 when they travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa for the MidWestOne Bank Invitational hosted by William Penn University at Edmundson Golf Course.
