LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team is in first place after the first day of competition at the Doane Invitational at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course on Monday.
The Bruins finished with a first round total of 336. William Penn University is in second place with a score of 341.
Maria Saavedra and Renee Santoyo are both tied for sixth place overall with first round scores of 82 while Natalia Soria is in 10th after a round of 83.
Jayme Harmelink, who registered a hole-in-one, sits in 28th place and Karissa Moreland tallied a round of 96.
Tournament action will conclude tomorrow (Sept. 24).
