OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Led by Ana Laura Gomez, the Bellevue University women's golf team finished in third place in its inaugural event, the Southwestern Christian University Fall Invitational at the Lake Hefner Golf Course.
The Bruins finished with a 657 total score, four shots behind second-place Oklahoma Baptist University. Southern Nazarene took the team title with a total score of 611.
Individually, Gomez finished in third place with a six-over par two-day total of 152. Other BU golfers included:
Christian Von Riesen - 156 (6th), Taylor Byers - 172 (17th), and Jayme Harmelink - 177 (T19th)
The Bruins return to action on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 19-20, when they compete in the Grand View Classic in Ankeny, Iowa.
