Six from women's hoops earn Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University women's basketball student-athletes Miranda Hennings, Laura Jurek, Faith Ross, Aminah Hall, Kaziah Terrell, and Ashtyn Arnold have been recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in an announcement made today by the NAIA national office.

Hennings, a graduate student from Council Bluffs, Iowa, is pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Communication.

Jurek, a graduate student from Bellevue, Neb., is pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Communication.

Ross, a senior from Gretna, Neb., is majoring Mathematics and Education.

Hall, a sophomore from Denton, Texas, is majoring in Communications and Sport Management.

Terrell, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., is majoring in Biology.

Arnold, a sophomore from Clovis, Calif., is majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

In order to be eligible for nomination by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.

Bellevue wrapped up the 2022-23 season with a 17-12 overall record, finishing third in the North Star Athletic Association regular-season with a 10-4 mark, and reaching the NSAA Semifinals before falling to Mayville State.
