Martinez earns HM All-American honors for fourth-straight season

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University senior Elexis Martinez (Omaha, Neb.) has been named an honorable mention NAIA All-American, as announced by the NAIA All-America Committee on Friday morning.

Her selection marks the fifth-straight season in which Bellevue has produced an honorable mention All-American.

Martinez becomes the third Bruin student-athlete in any sport to earn All-America honors in four seasons, joining Olivia Galas (volleyball) and Lindsay Bredar (softball) in doing so.

Martinez concluded her star-studded career atop the career charts with 2,121 career points, 954 rebounds, and 140 blocked shots. Additionally, she dished out 158 assists and totaled 138 steals during her time at BU.

This past season, Martinez led the team in both scoring (14.0 PPG) and rebounding (6.1) for the fourth-straight season while helping Bellevue reach the Championship Game of the NSAA Tournament for the third time in the past four seasons.
