Terrell signs LOI to play at BU

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University women's basketball coach Dave Denly announced the signing of Kaziah Terrell (Morrow, Ga./Lovejoy HS) to a Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall.

Terrell, a 5-9 guard, comes to Bellevue from powerhouse Lovejoy High School in Hampton, Ga. where, this past season, she helped the team to a 26-5 overall mark, a Region 4 Class 6A Championship, and a trip to the Elite 8 of the GHSA State Playoffs.

Over the past two seasons, Lovejoy has posted a 55-11 record. During Terrell's four years at Lovejoy, the Wildcats sported a 113-15 overall record and won the 2018 Georgia Class 6A State Championship in addition to a Runner-Up finish in 2019 and appearances in both the 2017 (SF) and 2020 (QF) State Tournament.

Terrell averaged 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a blocked shot for the No. 18 ranked high school team in the nation.

Terrell joins earlier signees Aminah Hall (Denton, Texas/Braswell HS), Shelby Little (Holiday Island, Ark./Eureka Springs HS), Shareece Smith (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Iowa Lakes CC/Fort Dodge HS), and Meleah Turner (Bellevue, Neb./Roosevelt/Bellevue West HS) in the Bruins' 2020 recruiting class.

In just the fourth season of its existence, the Bruins posted their second-straight 20-win season and claimed a share of the NSAA Regular-Season title for the second consecutive season.
