BISMARCK, N.D. -- Sophomore first baseman Reese Floro was named the North Star Athletic Association Player of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' seven games last week.
Floro helped BU to a 6-1 record on the week, including a four-game conference road sweep at Viterbo University to open league play.
Batting .458 on the week, Floro collected seven extra-base hits, including four doubles and three home runs. She had a 1.000 slugging percentage over the seven games and is currently on a five-game hitting streak.
Floro, who also drove in eight runs on the week, leads the Bruins with a .443 batting average, eight doubles, and three home runs and is third with 14 RBIs.
The Bruins will host the College of St. Mary on Wednesday, March 29, in a single non-conference contest beginning at 6 p.m. at Roy Smith Field in Omaha. The game will be an NFCA StrikeOut Cancer event supporting the Nicki G. Foundation, which raises funds to award scholarships to local high school students in their pursuit of playing collegiate softball.
