Sharpe named NSAA Player of the Week

MADISON, S.D. -- After an impressive performance in the opening three games of the PFX Spring Games in Clermont, Fla., senior Erin Sharpe has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Player of the Week for the week ending March 3. 

In the first day of action at the Spring Games, Sharpe launched four home runs, while batting .700 and driving in seven runs. She had a stellar 2.100 slugging percentage in the three games. 

In the Bruins' 4-3 loss to Calumet-St. Joseph, Sharpe went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. She followed that up with a 2-for-3 performance, with two home runs and four RBIs in the Bruins' 13-9 loss to Northwestern Ohio. Sharpe completed the day with two more home runs and three RBIs in BU's 8-6 come-from-behind victory over St. Thomas (Fla.). 

Sharpe added to her school-record total for career home runs and now has 57 dingers in her BU career. 

The Bruins continue action at the PFX Spring Games today when they take on Reinhardt at 12:30 p.m., Judson (Ill.) at 2:45 p.m. and Briar Cliff at 5 p.m.
