BELLEVUE, Neb. - Senior Taylor Mohler (Cedar Creek, Neb.) has been named Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the week for the third straight week. Mohler helped the Bruins sweep a conference double-header at York to improve to 21-8-1 overall and 6-0 in MCAC competition.
Mohler logged a complete game two-hitter and struck out 13 on her way to her 11th victory of the season. She continues her assault on the school's career record book as she has now tallied a school-record 715 career strikeouts (116 more than the next on the list), posted 17 career shutouts to tie the program record, and won 59 games to move within two victories of second on the school's all-time list. She ranks fifth nationally with 139 strikeouts on the season.
Bellevue returns to the diamond with eight games this week. The Bruins host Waldorf for an MCAC double-header Tuesday, travel to Concordia Wednesday, and host the MCAC North Division Crossover this Friday and Saturday.
