Bruin Softball sweeps weekly MCAC honors
The Bellevue University softball team swept the weekly Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conferfence honors for the week ending March 25. Kathyrn Wardian was named the MCAC Player of the Week and for the second time this season, Taylor Mohler earned MCAC Pitcher of the Week honors. 

Wardian and Mohler helped the Bruins sweep two non-conference road doubleheaders last week over Northwestern (Iowa) College and Grand View University. 

Wardian hit .462 on the week with three home runs and a triple. Her slugging percentage was 1.308 in the four wins. In Bellevue's 15-3 victory over Northwestern, Wardian went 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs. She is currently riding a five-game hitting streak. 

Mohler, who also earned MCAC pitcher of the week honors on March 12, posted a 2-0 record on the week, while also recording her first career save. 

In the Bruins' 5-0 shutout at Grand View, Mohler tossed a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk. On the week, she fanned 15 batters in 13 innings of work. 

The Bruins (17-10), who have won six-straight games, will travel to Fremont, Neb. on Wednesday, March 28, for a 4:30 p.m. non-conference doubleheader at Midland University.
