McPHERSON, Kan. -- The Bellevue University softball team remained undefeated in conference play, sweeping Central Christian College, 6-0 and 24-2 Saturday afternoon. With the wins, the Bruins improved to 24-15 overall and 8-0 in league play.
Central Christian dropped to 4-31 and 0-10 in the MCAC.
Amanda Neumann (17-7) tossed a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts in the 6-0 shutout in the opener.
Bellevue plated a season-high 24 runs while tying a season-best with 20 hits in the 24-2 five-inning win in the nightcap.
The Bruins will host NCAA Division II Rockhurst University on Tuesday, April 26, in a 4 p.m. doubleheader at Hall of Fame Fields. The games will also be designated as the Beat Cancer with a Bat fundraiser as the Bruins will raise money for cancer research during the twinbill.
