Bruins sweep weekly softball honors
The Bellevue University softball team swept the weekly MCAC honors as senior pitcher Alissa Crumley was named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week and junior shortstop Jessica Guyle earned MCAC Player of the Week honors.

Crumley earned four wins on the week and compiled a 0.89 ERA in 23.2 innings of work. She collected 27 strikeouts and allowed 12 hits and six walks. Crumley recorded a seven-inning complete-game shutout over College of St. Mary, tossing a two-hitter while striking out seven batters and allowing no walks in the Bruins' 6-0 victory. Crumley is currently 8-2 on the season.

Guyle, the Bruins leadoff batter, hit .583 (14-of-24) on the week, scored 10 runs, and collected four RBIs. She helped guide Bellevue to a 5-1 record on the week, including four conference victories. In the Bruins 10-2 win over Central Christian, Guyle went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

The Bruins are currently 16-9 on the season and 4-0 in the MCAC and will travel to Peru, Neb. on Tuesday, April 6 for a 3 p.m. MCAC doubleheader with Peru State College.
