NSAA Release

MADISON, S.D. -- For the third time this season and the sixth time in his BU career, senior Richard Marcoux has been named the North Star Athletic Association Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at last week's Charger Invite hosted by Briar Cliff University at the Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, S.D. 

Marcoux placed 17th overall of 217 finishers in a new personal and school record performance of 25:28.8 over the 8-kilometer course. He was the tenth NAIA finisher and the top NSAA runner in the meet.

Marcoux shaved three seconds off his previous school record set earlier this season at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite. 

The Bruins travel a short distance down I-80 this Friday when they compete in the Creighton University-hosted Platte River Rumble at Mahoney State Park. The meet features an array of talent from Division I to junior college. The afternoon races begin at 1:00 p.m. with the women's 6K followed by the men at 1:45 p.m.
