
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team is ranked No. 7 in the Final NAIA Coaches' Poll of the 2024 season, as announced by the NAIA National Office today.
The Bruins wrapped up their season with a 16-3-3 overall record and their third appearance in the NAIA Men's Soccer National Tournament Quarterfinals, falling to eventual National Champion Dalton State College.
Bellevue claimed the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament Championship for the fifth-straight season, qualified for their 11th NAIA National Tournament, and reached the final site for the seventh time in program history.
Edwin Cisneros earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition. Head coach Mark Heath-Preston earned CAC Coach of the Year honors as he is now 115-53-22 in nine seasons in charge of the Bruins, and Taariq Ganga collected CAC Goalkeeper of the Year accolades.
Five Bruins landed on the all-CAC first team as Matias Daniel-Doren, Jose-Miguel Boggio, Giovani Lima Soares, and Cisneros joined Ganga. Fletcher Hedge was a second-team all-CAC selection, while Ombeni Mubake and Buster Honeywood were each honorable mention options.
