Schwanke collects CAC Defensive award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University freshman Caedmon Schwanke (Lincoln, Neb.) has been selected as the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the CAC office on Monday afternoon.

In Bellevue's 5-2 win over the University of Science & Arts on Friday, Schwanke scored a goal and added an assist. From his wingback position, he helped a defensive unit that held the Drovers to just four shots on goal.

His 34th minute strike leveled the game at 1-1 and his assist on Matias Daniel-Doren's 74th minute tally proved to be the game-winner.

Bellevue (5-4-2) travels to Columbia, Mo. tomorrow evening for a 7 p.m. kick-off against #14 Columbia College (4-1-3)
