LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University sophomore Jake Cover (Gretna, Neb.) has been named the Continental Athletic Conference's Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his performance last week.
Cover scored a pair of goals in the Bruins' 8-0 win over Waldorf to clinch the final spot in this week's CAC Tournament. Cover now has a team-leading six goals and 13 points this season.
With the regular-season behind them, Bellevue needs just a win over Georgia Gwinnett on Friday to qualify for their third-straight NAIA National Tournament. The Bruins and Grizzlies kick-off at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 in the semifinal round of the CAC Tournament.
