Bellevue plays Midland to scoreless draw on road

FREMONT, Neb. -- Romeo Paparesta made four saves to help the Bellevue University men's soccer team pick up a 0-0 draw at Midland University on Saturday evening.

Kicking off a five-game road trip following a week off, Bellevue looked refreshed and did everything but win the game.

BU dominated the stat sheet, out-shooting Midland 14-8 including a 7-4 advantage on goal an served as the aggressors throughout but, as has been the case frustratingly throughout this season, were unable to find the back of the goal.

Romeo Paparesta and Matthew Ricci did their parts in goal for each side, stopping all 11 shots on goal that they faced. Paparesta notched four saves while Ricci finished with seven stops for the host side.

Oumar Sissoko and Jake Cover each took three shots for Bellevue and Alvaro Capra took a couple while seven different players, including each of the aforementioned, put shots on frame.

Pietro Musso put both of his shots on goal for Midland. Dawson Butcher and Riley Barratt accounted for Midland's other shots on goal.
