Sissoko Leads Bellevue Trio in Earning 2021 CAC Postseason Awards

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University (Nebraska) junior forward Oumar Sissoko has been named the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) men's soccer Player of the Year to headline the sport's postseason awards for the 2021 season.

The Bruins earned three of the CAC's four specialty awards after capturing the inaugural conference tournament championship last weekend.

Bellevue's AJ Jarvis earned the Goalkeeper of the Year award while Mark Heath-Preston received the Coach of the Year honor. Aidan Radford of Viterbo University (Wisconsin) was named Newcomer of the Year for the 2021 season.

Sissoko led Bellevue with 15 goals and two assists for 32 points. He scored six game-winning goals in 2021, including the match's only tally in a 1-0 victory against Florida National University for the CAC title.

Jarvis has posted eight shutouts, allowed just 13 goals in 19 starts and made 36 saves while protecting the Bruins' goal.

Heath-Preston led Bellevue to a top 10 national ranking after a 15-2-2 record which has included the inaugural CAC conference crown.

Radford scored 18 goals and led the CAC with 42 points this fall for the V-Hawks. He tallied five game-winning goals and contributed six assists in 15 matches.
