Aldao picks up fourth A.I.I. Player of the Week award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University senior Inaki Aldao (Buenos Aires, Argentina) has once again been named the Association of Independent Institutions Men's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the A.I.I. office.

In Bellevue's lone game last week Aldao scored a pair of goals to push his season total to 20 and match the BU career mark of 45, set by head coach Mark Heath-Preston. The award is the fourth of the season for Aldao and fifth of his BU career.

In addition to tying the goal-scoring record, Aldao became just the second player in program history to surpass the 100-point mark. On the season he now ranks third nationally in both goals and points (42) as well as ranking fifth in game-winning goals with five.

After wrapping up an unbeaten spring schedule (4-0-2), Bellevue see their record stand at 12-4-2 overall. The Bruins play next at the A.I.I. Tournament, hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College, scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Apr. 9-10 at the Grizzly Soccer Complex in Lawrenceville, Ga.
