BU lands JuCo transfer Hardy

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team, under head coach Mark Heath-Preston, announced today the signing of Brandon Hardy (Huddersfield, England/Northwest Kansas Tech.) to a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2019.

Hardy, the son of David and Julia Hardy, joins the Bruins from Northwest Kansas Technical College (NJCAA – Division I) where he was a second team all-conference selection. He'll have the opportunity to don the purple and gold and face his brother, Jordan Hardy, twice when Bellevue meets Waldorf (Oct. 26 at Waldorf; Nov. 2 at Bellevue).

Prior to his venture to the States, he played soccer at Shelley FC and helped the side to the 2016/17 Division One title in the Huddersfield League. He scored five goals to lead the team to an unblemished 18-0-0 mark in league play.

Coach Heath-Preston on Hardy:

"We are excited to bring in Brandon who will come into the program and make an immediate impact. He already has two years of experience under his belt over here and will fit in nicely to what we are trying to accomplish. It's going to be an exciting build up going into the Waldorf game."

Hardy joins earlier signees Eli Brown (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln East HS) and Jan Scheiwiler (Diessenhofen, Switzerland/HKV Schauffhausen) in the Bruins' 2019 recruiting class.

BU completed the first unbeaten regular season in school history in 2018 and ended the season with an overall record of 18-2-2. The Bruins reached the A.I.I. Tournament Championship Game, hosted an NAIA National Tournament Opening Round game for the first time, and advanced to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
