KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that 492 men's soccer student-athletes, including Bellevue University's Morgan Penn, have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
The Bruins finished the season with an 8-7-2 overall record and captured their fourth-straight regular-season league championship with a perfect 4-0-0 mark in NSAA play.
