BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team, under head coach Mark Heath-Preston, announced today the signing of Harry Atkins (Norwich, Norfolk, England) to a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2018.
Atkins in the son of Tina Atkins and Peter Motts and is currently affiliated with the DESA Football Education Programme which is based in Dereham, Norfolk. Moreover, Atkins has been playing for Fakenham Town FC in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division (Step 5 of the English Football Pyramid).
Coach Heath-Preston said of Atkins, "We are excited to bring in Harry to Bellevue University as he can come in and make an immediate impact. With his playing experience in the U.K. we are excited for him to develop even more within the next four years.
This past season the Bruins posted an overall mark of 8-7-2 (4-0-0) en route to securing their fourth-straight regular-season league title.
