OMAHA, Neb. -- Edgar Guzman netted a brace and Toby Millward scored his first goal as a Bruin to lead the Bellevue University men's soccer team to a convincing 3-0 win over Viterbo University in the North Star Athletic Association-opener for both schools on Saturday afternoon at Caniglia Field.

The victory sees Bellevue improve to 5-7-1 (1-0-0 NSAA) while Viterbo falls to 1-11-1 (0-1-0 NSAA) with their fourth-straight loss.

Guzman scored his first goal of the match in the 59th minute off a pass from Millward. Millward played a ball to Guzman in the offensive half that Guzman one-touched before shooting low to the far side corner for a 1-0 Bruin lead.

In the 68th minute, Guzman found the back of the net again. This time he dribbled in before unleashing a hard shot that tucked its way inside the near post for a 2-0 BU advantage.

Millward added an insurance goal in the 87th minute to account for the final margin. The penalty was won after Corey Letizio was sent off for a red card foul in the box.

Bellevue out-shot Viterbo 24-3 (11-0 on goal) in the match and totaled 12 corner kicks to the V-Hawks' two.

Harry Wray (W, 3-4-0) earned the win in goal despite not being tested with a shot on target.

Ben Kellner (L, 1-11-1) took the loss for the V-Hawks. He stopped eight of the 11 shots he faced.

BU Head Coach Mark Heath-Preston called Guzman his Man of the Match and said, "Toby Millward was superb in central midfield. We still need to improve in the final third but it was nice to get the result and score some goals."
