SEWARD, Neb. -- A pair of first half goals were too much for the Bruins to overcome as the Bellevue University men's soccer team lost to Concordia University, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference at Bulldog Stadium

With the loss Bellevue falls to 4-6-1 on the season while Concordia remains unbeaten at 9-0-1.

The Bulldogs received first half goals from Lewis Rathbone and Carlos Ferrer in the 21st and 31st minutes, respectively. Kevin Sanchez assisted on Rathbone's goal while Marcelo Hernandez was credited with a helped on Ferrer's strike.

Micah Lehenbauer provided Concordia an insurance tally off a pass from Ferrer in the 60th minute to provide the final margin.

Concordia out-shot Bellevue 13-10 (8-3 on goal) in the match. Bellevue had one statistical advantage in the match, earning seven corner kicks to Concordia's four.

BU's AJ Jarvis made three saves in net while Jack Bennett stopped all five shots on target for the Bulldogs.

Bellevue returns to play on Tuesday, Oct. 3 when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa for their final non-conference match of the year, a 7 p.m. kick-off at Grand View University.
