OMAHA, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team defeated Grace University, 12-0, on Wednesday evening at Bergquist Stadium in non-conference action.

The win was Bellevue's sixth in a row at the Bruins improve their overall record to 9-6-2 on the year. Grace falls to 3-13-0 with the loss.

The Bruins jumped out to an 8-0 halftime lead behind a 29-0 shot advantage over the host Royals.

Rob Smith scored a hat trick for the second game in a row to give him a team-high 14 goals on the season.

The Bruins set a school record for the most goals in a two-game span and have now scored a total of 22 goals in their last two games.

The Bruins racked up 53 shots in the win while Grace did not manage any.

Ben Martin earned his second clean sheet of the season in the victory.

Bellevue wraps up the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 29 with a 2:30 p.m. North Star Athletic Association fixture against Waldorf University at Bellevue Soccer Club. Senior Day ceremonies will precede the game.
