ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- After opening the scoring with a 53rd minute goal the #17 Bellevue University men's soccer team conceded three goals in a span of six minutes to fall to the (RV) University of Mobile by a score of 3-1 on Friday evening at the UMobile Men's Soccer Classic.

Following a scoreless first half which saw the Rams out-shoot the visiting Bruins by an 8-2 margin, Bellevue came out strong in the second half.

Daniel Coupland tucked a shot inside the far post from 20 yards out to put the visitors on the board first. The goal, Coupland's second of the year, was marked unassisted.

The Bellevue defense held steady until the 71st minute when Newton Henry put the home side on the board with a contested header. Dakai Grant sent in a ball that Henry won under the crossbar to pull Mobile level.

The tie score wouldn't hold long as Casey Culver scored in the 75th minute to put Mobile ahead, 2-1. Culver took the ball and weaved his way through traffic deep into the box before firing a top shelf shot past the keeper.

The Rams added an insurance goal in the 77th minute when Mohamed Conde found his way onto the score sheet. Conde took the ball from near midfield and possessed it to the top of the 18-yard box and fired a low shot to send Mobile ahead 3-1.

Mobile out-shot Bellevue 14-5 – including holding a 5-2 lead in shots on goal – in the match.

The Bruins (1-1-1) are back in action at 11 a.m. on Sunday with another game against an opponent receiving votes in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll when they take on the Thomas University Night Hawks (0-0-1).
