
FREMONT, Neb. -- Despite outshooting Midland, 28-13, the Warriors notched a 3-0 shutout victory over the Bellevue University men's soccer team Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Christensen Field.
Midland took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute with a goal by Mitchell St. Prix off an assist by Alan Craig. The Warriors added a pair of unassisted goals in the second off by Gary Giffen at 74:11 and Andy Jones at 83:22.
Lewis Wilcox (6-1) got the complete-game shutout win, recording eight saves in the victory.
Jamie Waters and Manuel Lira both collected four shots to pace the BU offense.
Ben Martin (1-4) took the loss, notching five saves in 90 minutes in goal.
Bellevue (2-4) will travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa on Wednesday, Sept. 18 for a 5:30 p.m. non-conference contest at William Penn University. Midland improved to 7-1 with the win.
